  • Containing optimum levels of Magnesium and L-Tryptophan
  • Blended with a unique combination of calming herbs.
  • Designed exclusively for Maxavita by Veterinary professionals.

Owning a nervous and anxious horse can bring lots of surprises, whether you are riding down a quiet country lane, a prestige dressage test or even just working with your horse in his stable. Horses suffer from stress like many humans, where as we can talk about our problems, horses seem to get tense and worked up, especially in new surroundings like competitions. Adding a calming supplement to your horse's diet can help to keep him relaxed, cool and collected in every situation you may face.

MaxaCalm has been designed with herbal ingredients that are commonly used for not only horses but also human aromatherapy and therapeutic uses. This blend should allow your horse to relax and focus on his work, allowing you to concentrate on the task at hand.

MaxaCalm offers a natural calming solution for excitable and nervous horses.   A perfect balance of Magnesium, Green Lipped Mussel (GLM) and a blend of specially selected calming herbs help to soothe tension and contain excess energy. GLM is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids which are known to aid concentration levels and support brain health in humans. Just one scoop a day of MaxaCalm can help your horse to cope with challenging situations, leaving him calm, focused and ready for work.

Ingredients

  • Magnesite - Magnesium plays an important part in nerve and muscle function. Horses deficient in this important element can show signs of nervousness, wariness, excitability, and muscle tremors. This gives magnesium its reputation for having a calming influence on equines.
  • Withania – Withania or “Ashawagandha” strengthens and calms the nervous system. Ashwagandha is a wonderfully balancing herb that helps the body and mind to adapt to the stresses of everyday life.
  • Passiflora – Passiflora or “Passion Flower” is a fresh herb tincture for stress. It improves blood supply to the heart and reduces stress so that your horse feels calmer.
  • Chamomile - includes calming of the digestive tract, and easing of the spasms of irritable bowel syndrome. It's a relaxant and mild natural sedative, so it is often taken against anxiety.
  • Lemon Balm - Lemon Balm is also used medicinally as a herbal tea, or in extract form, along with aromatherapy with humans. It is used as a mild natural sedative or calming agent. At least one study has found it to be effective at reducing stress.
  • Maxa Vita B Complex – All Vitamin B supplements aid different deficiencies and problems. Therefore a mix of these help support all areas. Vitamin B1 especially helps irritability and concentration. Vitamin B6 also helps nervousness
  • L-Tryptophan - is an essential amino acid which is made from plant or animal sources. This amino acid helps to raise levels of serotonin which is linked to relaxation, reducing stress levels and anxiety among other problems. Horses are unable to produce L-tryptophan and therefore is a common ingredient in many calmer supplements.
  • Green Lipped Mussel Extract, SuPerna - Our unique Green Lipped Mussel extract contains high levels of omega 3 fatty acids which have been linked to improved concentration levels and brain health.
